Once and Future Queen
Once and Future Queen is an acrylic painting that is 60 x 48″.
The title refers to the King Arthur Legend by TH White. In that story, King Arthur unknowing achieves his destiny as king over all the land. Through a series of adventures and discoveries, he discover what he was created to become- a leader who serves his people well.
When painting this tribute to destiny and great leadership, gradually the male figure of King Arthur turned into the female figure of a once and future queen. And I liked that.
